DESCRIPTION

Aisi 304 stainless steel is a chromium and nickel austenitic stainless steel, slightly magnetic when cold worked and non-magnetic in the annealed state. It is the most common among stainless steels and is not hardenable. Through the cold deformation it increases the mechanical resistance and hardens.
It has a good degree of weldability. In the solubilized state (1050 – 1100 ° C) it resists corrosion by a large variety of substances. Its mechanical characteristics are not high at room temperature but at low temperatures they become excellent. Especially when it comes to notch resistance, fatigue strength and resilience.
